Why do I feel this way?

So what are the significant things happened, last couple of months?

Well, I visited Bangkok for the first time. And that was the longest flight I ever flown. Around 6 hours. During the flight I kept watching movies. I did not sleep, not even for a min and that gave me a headache when I landed in bkk.

I gave the ielts exam in moving forward in the plan of migrating to OZ. I got a good overall good score of 7.5, listening being the least scored module @ 6.5.. I am thinking to write it again.

And what else?

Sometimes memories strike us with touch of pain. I was thinking over a long lost friend of mine for a long time. And for the very first time in a long time I felt like speaking to her again. I wrote a mail, hoping fervently she would write back to me …I am yet to get a reply. Hmm... I am hopeful and waiting for a reply.

This is for you “Jancy Oommen”

Whatever made us break our friendship, whoever it may be, I don’t care  .I always considered you as a dear friend of mine and I still do and will always do.

Feel of Racism or ?

Me and Hubby work with Emirates Group in Dubai. Being an employee there , you are entitled for discounts in almost everywhere,be it Hotels,Shopping,Night Life etc.
Its custom for us employees to check what are the offers before heading for  a weekend and utilize it for the fullest.

So me and hubby brainstormed(Yes we did!) and decided we will head to a club in  'Address' which is a five star hotel near to Dubai Mall.
We dressed up and I was even told to wear black nail polish to get that exotic look! And I did !

Hired a cab and reached the venue. There the bouncer standing with that rugged look and  he informs ' You need to have booking'. Just ten seconds before he let  other couple without asking anything.

Hubby :  'hmm.. hmmm ..We are Emirates Employees'

Bouncer : "Oh, Cabin Crew?????"

Hubby : "Nodded his head in 'YES'"

Me : Perplexed and  nodding in 'NO"...

Hubby gave me that frowning luk and  the bouncer let us in cuz he belived that we are Cabin Crew!!

The point here is hubby had the assurance and belief that he is qualified to be a Cabin Crew in Emirates Airlines (look wise ..:D )and I dint have that much of a low self esteem... ..

Neverthless,We enjoyed and the Music was good..We were the only Indians and brown skinned out there. Most of them were Cabin Crew of the Group..

Another weekend in Dubai Yet Again! Happy weekend Guys!

Change

Change is an integral part of life. It happens to me, it happens to ALL.

Your own home is one place where you can act as whatever u want. The luxury of eating at any time you want, eating up anything you want. Bossing over your mother for everything even if you know that u r wrong 100% . All those things are luxuries now..

Whenever I visit my home now, it acts different. Its not my home anymore.
Like Darshini once said “Marriage is the biggest Gamble”, may be this is part and parcel of the gambling.
Like B.C and A.D, a typical girl’s life spans through Before Marriage and After Marriage phase.

But change is inevitable. Like someone said,.

“All changes, even the most longed for have this melancholy, for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves. We must die to one life before we can enter another.”

Random

15 things about me , here it goes :

1)      I am very emotional and I am lead by my heart though people think otherwise.
2)      I always wanted to become a singer. My mother dint send me to music classes in my childhood which I regret till now. And you all thank God she dint .. :P
3)      Computers were never a career choice for me. I am a Software Engineer now.
4)      I believe whatever happens, happens for good (or bad!)..but it happens
Now that’s ma say abt it…
5)      I like to hang around with my friends. I have made good set of friends over these years. I still feel over losing a friend of mine
6)      I used to party so much but maybe cuz I overdid it I do not like it anymore.
7)      I started blogging in August 2006 in RediffBlogs. The second entry in my blog was in 2007, and then some of them were in 2008. Then using some ultramodern techniques of mine I moved my blog to Blogger, which resulted in losing some of my previous blogs. That declares me as lousy blogger. LOL
8)      I like to Travel, explore new things.
9)      I was a hard-core romantic in some part of my life. I guess I still am.
10)   I am short tempered
11)    “Lousy “is the latest addition to my day-today vocabulary.
12)     Marraige requires a lot of patience which i dont have much.
13)    One of my unfulfilled wish is to celebrate X’mas in new York
14)   There are hundreds of wishes and secrets which is deep buried inside my heart which of course cannot be written in a space like this :P
15)   I am running short of ideas here.

Tenure with Teles

My good friend Jerry (Sub junior IN CHRIST COLLEGE WHOM I RAGGED even though he denies it: D) did refer me there and never got a referral bonus… My sincere apologies, Jerry.  Opportunites are plenty for us and sky is the limit. Keep referring J
It was my first solid job I got post marriage, Dubai life etc. IT in Dubai to be blamed for 9 months break in my  IT career. The corporates out there using  some legacy applications in Pascal which was developed in the Abacus Era.(Sarcasm meant )…..
Back to Teles, we had only 25+ employees in Our Indian office. If u r on leave even your VP will be aware because of  high visibility each employee is having physically as well as work wise.
I was dumbstruck whenever there was a design meeting in the team. Trust me, I dint understand much of the telecom domain. CSTA, SIP, TCP/IP was just some words learned during college days. It took a lot of time for me to get myself comfortable with the telecom domain. Again apologies, Jerry Remember I am an API programmer. Not a C or C+programmer… LOL
The fun part was the friends I made there. Rose, Renju, Sherin , Kiran, Swagatika ,etc.
Renju sitting just opposite to me always humming. Remeber the Knanya fights??? The fact remains the same that we are still better (Me and Sherin belongs to some Brahmin families eons ago unlike you and Jerry :P)
People say Kiran had a change after I joined. My team lead. He started mingling, cracking jokes etc..Is that right Kiran?  I must say he is real brains..
Rose,Rose,  Rose.. myself and her had one thing in common,  A great appetite… 10 mins walk to Forum mall for lunch would not  tire us at all in the hot sun. After all its for food we are walking.
Sherin will never compromise on his lunch. Needs to fill his stomach with all heavy stuff mutton biryani being the minimum order. He left the company in April 2010. I was shocked to hear that he was planning to arrange a party for his ex-colleagues (then a group of 4!!!) and the budget was 16k INR.:P.Right Sherin??
Swagatika and I used to go together after work. I had to fill petrol in my 2-wheeler on a daily basis. I do not like the idea of filling petrol for more than 100 bucks, which left me stranded in the middle of the road at least twice.
Sajeed,VP addressed me as the owner of facebook  and warned me as well not to use it. May be cuz the bandwidth issues of heavy usage of fb that to by using some proxy and by some unblocking software.
Then many others like Koshy,Shankar ,Rishin..
My tenure with Teles Communication started on November 2nd 2009 and ended  on July 30 2010.
This post is for all wonderful people I met there. My leaving of Teles was intentional due to some personal  issues.  May be I would have worked out in a better way. However, at that point of time I really dint have any other option.
YET AGAIN, apologies!!!
